Our History

Beginning in 1981 with church services and Bible studies taking place in various homes, Wasa Community Church has since been serving the areas of Wasa, Ta Ta Creek and Skookumchuck. As the 80s continued, services were held at the old Wasa Hall, then later on, at the Wasa school. In 1986, the old Wasa Hall and its land were donated to the church by the B.C. Farmers Institute. After a sizeable fundraising effort by the congregation, the old hall was torn down and the new church building was constructed upon its foundation, completed without debt. Its first service was held in the spring of 1989.
